Lawn Program
Our Basic Lawn Program: (6 Visits):
Round #1: Supplies Dry Granular Fertilizers & Pre-emergent Crabgrass Control
Fertilizer at this time is crucial for an early spring green up. These are also the months when we can most effectively control crabgrass, foxtail, and other annual grasses. You must act quickly though, to ensure the greatest percentage of control this application should be applied before ground temperatures reach 55 degrees. Broadleaf weed control is only included as needed and only after temperatures have reached 55 degrees or above.
Round #2: Supplies a Balanced Rate of Dry Fertilizers & Broadleaf Weed Control
A balanced rate of dry granular fertilization along with liquid broadleaf weed control will be applied at this time. Please remember we can only control those broadleaf weeds that are actively growing at the time of each application. This is a critical time for insect activity to start. We will inspect your lawn for activity and recommend insecticides as needed to control turf damaging insects.
Round #3: Supplies Slow Release Dry Fertilizers & Broadleaf Weed Control
At this time we begin to apply our slow release blends of dry granular fertilizer to ensure consistent green turf with no burning. The more difficult to control weeds begin to germinate at this time of year. Heavier strength broadleaf weed treatments are applied at this time to ensure full control of all broadleaf weeds. This is also the time of the year we recommend applying our grub worm preventative treatment to protect your lawn from this very aggressive turf damaging insect.
Round #4: Supplies Slow Release Dry Fertilizers & Spot Treatment for Weeds
At this time we continue to apply our slow release blends of dry granular fertilizer to ensure consistent green turf with no burning. This is also our most important time to check and inspect your lawn for problems. Cool season grasses begin to show signs of stress from drought, insect activity, and disease activity at this time. You can ensure we will bring to your attention any threat(s) to your lawns health and the proper solution(s).
Round #5: Supplies Heavy Rate Dry Granular Fertilizer & Broadleaf Weed Control
A heavy rate of dry granular fertilization along with liquid broadleaf weed control will be applied at this time. Falls cool temperatures are a great time to build your lawns density and root development. The products applied at this time are designed to take full advantage of these great growing conditions. We also highly recommend Core Aerations at this time to reduce soil compaction and build upon our root development efforts while reducing thatch build up.
Round #6: Winterize Treatment (Dry Potash Fertilizer) & Spot Treat For Weeds
A dry potash fertilizer is applied at this time of the year to help ensure proper root development and to prepare for your lawn for the dormant season. This application will continue to build upon your lawns color and density while helping prevent winter damage.
